For centuries chandeliers have been a sign of wealth class and elegance. Initially relegated only to cathedrals castles and homes of the very wealthy chandeliers were fairly impractical as they held candles that burned out frequently and had to be replaced by servants. With the advent of electric lighting however chandeliers quickly became a way not just to display glamour and class but to effectively light a room as well.
Some of them may be all crystal while others may have a lot of color in them. Every choice will be amazing but not everyone is going to be looking for the same thing. Homes and restaurants are not the only places that these lovely pieces are going to be found. People can put them any place that they choose. There are some places that they look better than others. Everyone is going to have a choice to make on where to put them and what style they want. There will be a lot of different ones to choose from. When someone wants more than one they may choose to get ones that are similar or just ones that are similar in colors and styles. There are certain contemporary chandeliers that will look better in certain places but any of them can be mounted in any place that there is room for them.
It is an unfortunate fact though that not all people would have the funds to purchase genuine antique chandeliers. The better option would be the more affordable antique-style chandeliers pictures of which you can find on the various lamp and lighting websites on the Internet. An economical option is antique-finish brass plated wrought iron chandeliers. You also have the Bronze D'Ore which is patterned after the lighting fixtures used in the castles of King Louis XVI and the 19th century Neo Classical chandeliers. The Sea Scallop Iris 3- or 5-armed Piemont and Rose Bush are other excellent choices. These antique-style chandeliers range between a low of $200 to a high of $500.
If you think you might prefer a real candle chandelier (and who could blame you?) you will face a wide selection of outstanding designs to suit any taste. Arguably the most beautiful of all candle chandeliers are those made of glass or crystal. However these require a great deal of maintenance and attention to ensure that the candles do not tarnish the beauty of the piece. (It should be noted here that candle wax should be cleaned from any holder regardless of type). Another consideration of these elegant chandeliers is that they tend to be more expensive than those made of metals (bronze wrought iron etc.) but they certainly add an amazing effect to any room in your home.
