Today's more modern chandelier patterns and designs are a far cry from the chandelier's humble beginnings centuries ago but still pay homage to the elegance of their old-world relatives. While these lighting fixtures before were only simple and quaint wooden structures designed with a multitude of candles attached today's more contemporary patterns have evolved into more elaborate but still practical decorative pieces of art. There are also unique modern lighting fixtures that are perfect for the foyer and entrances to a home as well as in the dining room.
Some of them may be all crystal while others may have a lot of color in them. Every choice will be amazing but not everyone is going to be looking for the same thing. Homes and restaurants are not the only places that these lovely pieces are going to be found. People can put them any place that they choose. There are some places that they look better than others. Everyone is going to have a choice to make on where to put them and what style they want. There will be a lot of different ones to choose from. When someone wants more than one they may choose to get ones that are similar or just ones that are similar in colors and styles. There are certain contemporary chandeliers that will look better in certain places but any of them can be mounted in any place that there is room for them.
Contemporary chandeliers can be made of numerous different metal finishes such as bronze brass nickel chrome and even silver. There are heaps of bronze finishes such as weathered bronze imperial bronze tannery bronze dorian bronze and sable bronze patinas. With the nickel finishes one can get from brushed nickel brushed nickel with chrome iron oxide olde pewter olde iron polished brass empire silver distressed black and so on. Indeed there are even a lot of varieties in terms of the shades such as marble glass shades etched opal glass shades antique etched glass Venetian Scavo glass double French Scavo glass umber with teadust glass umbered alabaster silk shades and a lot lot more.
Contemporary designer Ferrucio Laviani presented an amazing chandelier in 2005 that he called "Yoga". He took over 100 crystals of differing pastel shades and enclosed them in a beautiful gold frame. "Yoga" is similar in shape to a standard children's top but this is one toy you would not want the children to play with. This marvelous chandelier is lit with halogens casting off a gentle and hypnotizing glow of colors and crystal texture. Gaetano Pesce introduced a beautiful chandelier in 2006 which he called "Mediterraneo".
